Bedroom to Bathroom

As part of a full house refurbishment project in Ipswich, Suffolk, AM:PM recently completed the transformation of a former bedroom into a stylish and highly functional shower room. This conversion formed one element of a wider refurbishment programme we carried out for the customer, helping to maximise both space and practicality throughout the home.

Preparing the Space:

The project began with the essential groundwork. We installed all the required water feeds and waste runs, carefully integrating them into the existing structure to ensure long-term reliability and compliance. With the services in place, the room was ready to be fully reimagined as a modern shower space.

To enhance both usability and comfort, we fitted new recessed spotlights along with an inline extraction fan, providing excellent ventilation while maintaining a clean, uncluttered ceiling finish. A new internal door was also installed, completing the transition from bedroom to bathroom space.

Flooring & Fixtures:

The floor was finished with Mercia Brown LVT plank flooring, chosen for its durability, water resistance, and warm, natural appearance — a practical yet stylish solution for a shower room environment.

We installed a new basin and toilet, keeping the layout simple and functional, while a shower panel splashback was fitted to provide easy maintenance and a sleek, modern look.

The Shower Area:

The centrepiece of the room is the generous 1500 x 900 shower tray, offering a spacious and comfortable showering area. This was paired with a sliding door enclosure, ideal for maximising space within the room.

The enclosure itself is fully clad in shower wall panels featuring a gold marble effect, finished neatly with chrome trims. This combination delivers a high-end appearance while remaining practical and low maintenance.

The shower is powered by a Triton power shower, complete with both overhead and handheld outlet, giving the homeowner flexibility and strong performance.

Part of a Complete Home Refurbishment:

This bedroom-to-shower-room conversion was completed as part of a larger, full-property refurbishment, all delivered by AM:PM for the same client. By managing multiple elements of the project, we were able to ensure consistency in quality, finish, and overall design throughout the home.
